Prime Focus Technologies has launched a suite of web-based media asset management services named ‘Clear’ to help Media & Entertainment partakers.
The service manages the entire lifecycle of content from production to distribution and offers a secure and fast digital delivery platform for advertising and entertainment content to reach global shores. The service could thus help film studios, broadcasters and advertisers to efficiently manage their content and workflow spanning across multiple locations in different countries.

CLEAR ensures that content is available across time zones and geographies without the need for round-the-clock IT support staff. It’s built on open standards, enabling integration and customization with in-house systems and software, and comprises of four main components:
- Media asset management
- Digital archiving
- Presentation
- Digital preparation and delivery
Clients opting for service also gets the option of a completely hosted service, an in-house service, or a combination of the two with the archived content stored at client locations completely managed in a hosted and accessible environment over the internet.
This service helps entertainment content makers to ship the content to their other global centers or clientele in a fast and convenient way.Advertisers and ad agencies as such could roll out global or regional print and television advertising campaigns. This service is currently available in 65 countries and leverage the SmartJog network.
Prime Focus Technologies have also launched ‘Clear’ Live, a video-on-demand (VoD) package and creation service that can deliver custom VoD packages from live feeds in less than three minutes to new media platforms – including web, mobile, IPTV and catch-up TV. This service could enable speedy introduction of digital content in market.
According to Ramki Sankaranarayanan, President and CEO, Prime Focus Technologies, “In the digital media world, the management of content, processes and interactions is key. With ‘Clear’, such workflow items can be managed across locations and the platform is customised to increase productivity. This is particularly pertinent at a time when companies are looking to cut costs and generate new revenue streams, while changes in the way content is produced and managed call for increased collaboration and efficiencies.
This service can find takers as Indian Media & Entertainment industry is going global and today even content production and procuring is done at global scale. This service seems to be providing a global intra net for M & E industry to exploit and overcome the blues of content transfer and collaboration.
