It seems like online contests are taking over the web be it photography or ad film making. Given the ease of executing contests online its no suprise that more and more corporates are taking this route for marketing as well as talent search. One such initiative that we came across recently is the Frame2Fame contest.

About Frame2fame
This is an ad film making contest aimed at college students who would create a TV Commercial based on an actual brief from a client. People who view these ads online shall vote on them and the highest voted ad will win a cash prize of 2 lacs.
This initiative is by an ad agency SIX Inches communications and is sponsored by Kingston. This seems like a good opportunity for college students to showcase their creativity. We had earlier showcased ads made for Google and Facebook by students here on WATBlog and got quite a good response on them as well.

this frame2fame website has too many flaws it has 2 pages the new one containing the videos to vote and the oldon is rubbish which pops up everytime when asked for videos which is frustating…………………….. please take some action over this ??
There has been a lot of dissapointment with the contest. Forget the rules and regulations mentioned, they are not even followed by the organizers themselves. Students had no choice but to wait for the submissions to begin till 28th Nov..which was still not finalized.
The biggest dissapointment came with the ads that were selected which werent a bit according to the briefs and also the voting system had many flaws including accepting false votes from the same ip address.
Such an unorganized and unprofessional system not only is a waste of time but also demotivates the students who participated.
no matter how gud or relavant to the creative brief ur ad is..u can never win this compeptition unless u have a gud IT background and no knowledge abt wht the ad is suppose to be like…dont knw why people evn took so muc of pain to participate in competition like this..evn i waz the 1 who went through this and had nobody to complain too…its just a waste of participants talents..
