There are always people who ask me how many bloggers are there in India? And I am always looking for answers. The other question I get is where can I find quality blogs to read? Well Blogadda tries to answer all this and more and has been doing so for over 2 years now.

About Startup: Blogadda is a blog aggregator which is over 2 years old. As it happens with startups with age comes traction. By virtue of being around for two years blogadda has attracted a lot of bloggers and offlate created buzz via twitter as well.
About Founders: The company is founded by Nirav Sanghvi and currently he heads a team of 5 people at Blogadda.
Funding Status: Self Funded
WAT’s HOT: The space is growing each day and there are newer unique and focussed blogs being started in India. So blog discoverability is forever going to be an issue. Hence this makes blogadda quite a good longterm investment. Some of the things they have done right have been the blogger interviews which helps them connect with bloggers. Also on a product perspective their signup process is fairly simple. They also launched something called perky tweets which is now aired on Radio one. Another way to connect with early adoptors.
WAT’s NOT: The key challenges is in monetization and scaling of the service. As far as I know the revenue stream is still to be established and it wont be easy. One has to also take into account that it already is 2 years since the product launched and a possibility of better faster products launching in this space cannot be ruled out.
