Eventful Saturday Coming Up – StartupCity, Startup Saturday & Digital Convergence IAMAI

This saturday is turning out to be a very eventful one if you stay in Mumbai. This is because 3 events are lined up.. Here is a look at all three of them..

startupcityStartupCity – We had covered the last startup city that happened in bangalore and brought you the videos from there as well. Now the action moves to Amchi Mumbai and a similar carnival of startups is expected. Its a one day event happening at Rang Sharda in Bandra and the following is what can be expected..

The event will startoff with discussions on Building a Successful Startup, Opportunities in the Internet space for Entrepreneurs and Best practices of building technology companies. This would be followed by two startups showcases – one for internet and mobile and one for software and services.

Startup Saturday – Startup Saturday like every month is happening across multiple cities in India together. You can attend one if you are in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Kolkata.

The theme and format is somewhat similar across with a couple of talks and demo’s. Here is a citywise rundown on what to expect..

Mumbai

Starts off at 1:30 pm and expect a Panel Discussion on various Funding Options (Angel / VC / Incubator), Talk from Amit Gupta, Co-founder and Head of Global Business Development at InMobi. Startup demos by Green Hat Ventures, Jagriti Yatra and Quetzal Group.
The highlight of the Mumbai SS should be talk by Mr. Neeraj Roy , CEO , Hungama.com in the evening. Register here to attend.

IAMAI “Leveraging Digital Convergence for Corporate Growth”

The event is being organised by Welingkar Institute of Management along with Internet and Mobile association at 6pm on Saturday 12th Sept. 2009 at the Welingkar Campus, Matunga, Mumbai and the roundtable would be followed by Dinner.

The purpose of the roundtable is two fold – to capture the current issues and views from the corporate from a research standpoint as also to provide a platform for sharing these experiences on Digital Convergence space.
