Qeep enters mobile advertising partnership with ZestADZ

Qeep, a mobile based social network has announced an advertising partnership with ZestADZ. Qeep currently owns and develops mobile based app for its network. The mobi social network currently has 2 million users with 25 per cent Q-o-Q growth.

The partnership would allow ZestADZ to promote its Ad brands across various segments on Qeep’s mobile app. The 2 Million user strength and 40 million impressions per month would be a positive for the advertising network.

ZestADZ is an advertising network for mobile sites and app. It is part of mobile-worx, a mobile marketing company and also has offices in Mumbai, Chennai in India. Other major players in mobile advertising market includes Admob, Google adsense (for mobile content), Inmobi(earlier named mkhoj).

According to Asif Ali, President, Mobile-Worx, “We have been very happy with Qeep’s performance. Their inventory is largely in South Africa which is a key mobile advertising market and this deal is the step in the right direction for ZestADZ”.

Specialized Mobile social networking has largely not seen enough success apart from the mobile usages of global networking sites. The success has been limited to universal messengers like Nimbuzz and mobile versions and apps of Facebook and Orkut. There was also huge expectation from mobile social networking sites earlier but that seems to have faded away down the line. The success of Qeep thus re-iterates that mobile social networking if applied with perfect app platform can see success even in the glorious days of online social networking.

Desimartini integrates HT City content

DesiMartini, the Social Networking portal acquired by HT Media few years ago has launched a close-knitted integration of HT City on to the portal. HT City is the Entertainment and Lifestyle supplement and could now be access with online version of “Celeb and the City”.

The new sub-section will have column written by celebs and also includes exclusive ‘Page 3’ pictures. Celebrity columns and photographs is accessible at [www.htcity.desimartini.com].
