Honda Jazz Registers 1800 Prospective Customers Via Digital Medium In 2 Days

The introduction of Honda Jazz  a car launched B+ segment is creating buzz using the online medium. Honda launched Jazz in India 2 days back and has launched an advertisement campaign to make Jazz a big success in India. Afaqs reports that Honda is planning to spend 3-4 % of the total advertisement budget on digital marketing.

Honda Jazz

Honda has been able to get around 1800 online testdrive requests within two days of launch via digital marketing with the help of banners and search engine marketing. Digital marketing of Honda Jazz is taken care by Meridian, Ogilvy’s second agency. Ogilvy has tasted huge success in various campaigns like Vodafone Zoo Zoo. Honda Jazz ads are being displayed on all major websites like Yahoo.co.in, In.com, Rediff.com, IBNlive.com, Carwaale.com etc. Honda has also employed services  of various add network like Komli Media, Ad Magnet and Tribal fusion to have a deep reach among the users and have a better targetted audience.

Users can  request for a testdrive of  Honda Jazz via their website http://HondaCarIndia.com/Jazz .Honda would soon be starting an email marketing campaign for the members of Moneycontrol.com and Rediff.com offering them a test drive of Honda Jazz.

Does 1800 bookings means huge success?

1800 is a good number since it has been only 2 days and a number like this would have costed Honda much more money if it tried to achieve the same via Outdoor or Print or any other conventional campaigning strategy.

The main question is how many users will actually turn up for the test-drive and how many will really turn into buyers.  One thing is for sure each and every company nowdays is including Digital Marketing in their  Marketing portfolio even though its from the perspective of generating leads rather than branding. We await the day when companies would look at digital walkthroughs for interiors of cars and also have online simulation videos on how the car performs in various conditions. All this in my opinion would build better user connect than just landing them to a testdrive form which inturn may not lead to impressive conversions.
