Headstart one of the major startup events in the country is back as announced by us before. The second edition this year, Headstart Summer 2009 will take place on 20th June 2009 at Welingkar Institute of Management, Matunga, Mumbai and would be focused specifically on angel investing. According to HeadStart, their research on 100+ startups confirm that there is a strong need of angel/seed stage investment in India and hence the primary agenda is on seed stage.
They have shortlisted 16 startups for the finals who will present their demo at the event. They are:

- SPOXCHANGE: Global sports-based exchange
- Swan Suites: Branded boutique service apartments
- ThinkingSpace Technologies Pvt. Ltd: Eventshelf – Event information aggregator
