Yahoo has announced its first country specific version of Yahoo buzz for India. This Indian launch would be kicked off with More than two dozen featured Indian Publishers.

At the same time yahoo has also notified about rejig of Yahoo buzz in a new avatar which would make it easy for users to speedily share stories through the automatic filling of title and description.
The site has also introduces social media features (already employed by Digg) by introducing Buzz Updates which notifies about all the activities of friends.
The Indian version of buzz will not introduce any new feature but would serve as a testing playground for viability of country specific buzz sites.India is also serving as a testing market for Internet biggies as Yahoo earlier Launched Glue in India due to perfect demographics and larger young audience.
Yahoo buzz India will likely compete with the likes of Indiapad,Rambhai etc,Indian based digg clones. The success of Indian version would decide the fate of country based ‘buzz’ versions in future.
The recent feature addition may have come at a very late stage as yahoo buzz is lagging far behind Digg and reddit and it is not very popular amongst web fanatics.
The detail page views statistics of yahoo buzz is not available as it comes under Yahoo domain name but a who.is query puts it to a miniscule 0.1% of total yahoo.com pageviews.
The absence of country based redirection will also spoil the party as users from India would need to type in the URL manually rather than automatically being redirected to Indian version.
