Tata Indicom has unveiled a new service which would truly facilitate global internet access to its subscribers with just one account .
The service named ‘One World, One Account service’ bridges the current roaming gap by allowing users to access internet globally in more than 160 countries through a single account.
The access to global Internet roaming has been facilitated by its current association with WBA, the global association of telecommunication services providers that offer Wi-Fi services. It would also mitigate the payment solution by providing single billing for all the services like gaming, movies, music etc on a single account for broadband, wi-fi and dial-up subscribers.
Although billing integration is already provided by other ISP’s,the introduction of global roaming for data card is industry’s first initiative .
This is also an attempt to increase VAS revenues by providing a single payment solution and the introduction of hi-speed wireless data access would make things simple in that direction .
The seamless billing integration would also open another channel for Games on demand and VAS providers as till date they were only targeting traditional broadband subscribers.
