This service is mainly inclined towards Indian shoppers who love to get the feedback and have a second opinion before purchasing the product. Using this service people can also share the deals with other users. The deals can be from any portal’s like Indiatimes.com, Rediff.com etc . Other users can pick the deals from the DealBox and discuss more about it using chat, comments, audio/video chat etc.
This portal also have an automatic price check feature using which whenever a deal is placed in a Deal Box it checks if any other similar deal is present,if there is any similar deal then the former automatically becomes a part of a challenge. This helps the user’s to choose the best deal among various portals.
Shopcorn wants to ride the social networking wave showcasing features like blogs, user profiles, you tube videos etc.
It seems a great concept to mesh Social Networking with Shopping but it seems that implementation needs some improvement before becoming a killer service. The catalogue is very small and you get very less or even zero listings while searching for popular products .Search for mp3 player yields less that 10 results .It’s deal posting service seems exploited by the sellers rather than real buyers. They seem to be stuck in a Chicken and Egg situation. Users will only come when they have good Catalogue and Catalogue can only be built by users.

I have doubt about its viability.
I think the concept is good & they are trying to bring the fun of offline shopping in the boring world of online shopping. It would work if people start participating in the portal by uploading maximum deals & interacting among each other
