Nokia Bets On Concept Stores To Woo Indian Customers


Nokia is betting big on its concept store and has opened its flagship Store in Mulund, Mumbai, ninth across the country.

Commenting on the occasion, Rajat Sinha, Regional General Manager (West), Nokia India said, “The Nokia Concept Store is an expression of both design and Nokia brand heritage. With this store we are reaching out to our consumers by enabling them to experience Nokia products and services under one roof.”

Nokia’s concept store will offer a complete portfolio of Nokia mobile devices, enhancements and services including e-mail, music, imaging and gaming. Nokia is also looking forward to take its concept store to every nook and corner of the country.

The Nokia Concept Store is spread over 1000 sq.ft and provide consumers with a one-stop destination for the latest and comprehensive range of mobile solutions, including devices and services.The store will also provide synergy for selling apps from OVI and thus can also acts as a selling booth for its application store.

The store would have the entire range of Nokia devices in all categories including latest range of mobile enhancements and exclusive Nokia merchandise apart from handsets.The store would provide an opportunity to “experience the product” before purchasing it.

Nokia concept stores plans to have a uniform and consistent look to provide all aspects of solutions selling, making the shopping experience fulfilling and delightful for consumers unlike the experience grasped in other franchisee stores.

The stores are also equipped with a Gaming zone with two giant LCD screens connected to Nokia Multimedia Devices and would also help consumers to remain abreast with the latest technologies and trends in the mobile industry.

Nokia through their flagship concept stores is trying to woo more younger audiences to its fold and wants to provide a wow experience on the similar lines with Apple retail stores.
