Vdopia To Power Video Ads On Tubaah & NDTV Profit


Vdopia the video ad network will now power video advertising on Tubaah.com, NDTV’s recently launched video portal and on NDTV profit.com, NDTV’s business news site. With this announcement Vdopia would now be powering 8 of NDTV’s vertical portalsĀ  including Tubaah.com, NDTV Profit, NDTV Cricket, NDTV 24X7, NDTV India, Metro Nation, NDTV Travel.com and NDTV Good Times.

Vdopia had earlier partnered with Web18 to power all its video inventory across its network of sites and this new tie up with NDTV does put Vdopia right at the top when it comes to video content inventory on the web.

Online video is a growing segment worldwide and according to reports from E&Y and AC Nielsen, it is set to grow exponentially at 300% in 2009 and has 85 percent higher brand recall compared with 54% for the same ad on television.

Even agency head honcho’s like Starcom MediaVest Group’s (SMG) Chief Digital Officer Sean Finnegan was of the opinion that innovation in online video would be the next big thing.

All in all video advertising seems to be catching up with inventory being created by players like Star, Times group and others. The only issue is attracting advertisers to the platform and making sure that the ad delivers. Only time will tell if online video advertising becomes effective in India.

    hey…how many times will the same story be carried again and again…this looks more of a PR thingy to get views into tubaah and vdopia
