Well if your childhood was filled with comic book characters from the then famous comic tinkle then this piece of news might just bring memories of your childhood back. ACK Media the company which owns comic book brands like Amar Chitra Katha and Tinkle have announced a tie up with Synqua Games, a mobile game studio based in Mumbai. This is a strategic licensing partnership for the creation and distribution of mobile games based of the comic book characters owned by ACK Media.
ACK Media owns propriety characters like Suppandi and Shikari Shambu and as per this deal Synqua will develop and distribute mobile games based on popular characters such as Arjuna, Bheema, Suppandi and Shikari Shambu amongst others.
Mobile distribution was always one of the channels for ACKMedia and it was also mentioned by their COO Samir Patil when we interviewed him last year on the launch of the Amar Chitra Katha website. Its important for ACKMedia to look at all forms of distribution which means that in the future we could also expect online, DTH and other tie ups for the brands that are owned by ACKMedia.
Supandi is my favourite comic character from childhood.. cant wait to get it on my mobile!
