Dear WAT Blog and readers,

We’re very excited about TEDIndia. All the details will be announced very soon. One note: We changed venues not due to terrorism at all but due to three factors:

1. Hotels in Mumbai are very expensive, prohibitively so.
2. Traffic is a real factor for moving people around
3. Most importantly, TED works best not in a big city, but in a place far enough removed from an Urban area that people put aside their daily concerns to immerse themselves in the conference.
4. We’ve chosen a venue that combines the best of modern India with the beauty of classic India.

All the details will be released before you know it. If you want to hear when we do announce, check in on the ted blog or write contact@ted.com
