NDTV Convergence Ties Up with iXiGo.com & CareerBuilder India – To Power NDTVTravels.com & NDTVJobs.com

NDTV iXiGo Tie Up

NDTV Convergence has tied up with iXiGo to power their travel portal NDTVTravels.com. This isn’t the first time NDTV has gone the tie up mode for content for its verticals even earlier NDTV has tied up with ammas.com for powering the NDTVAnswers platform.

NDTVTravels tie up with iXiGo will enable users to carry out searches on NDTVTravels and then directly book the airline tickets from the airlines website itself. The value here is the fact that one bypasses OTA’s.

NDTV CareerBuilder Tie Up?

Earlier NDTV had tied up with Yellojobs.com for NDTVjobs.com but that partnership fell through after a year when yellojobs decided that t wanted to enter the Indian market as a brand. Also it left NDTVJobs jobless but it seems now NDTV has roped in Careerbuilder as a partner on the NDTVJobs front. Though im not sure how recent this jobs related development is but according to me the tie up with careerbuilder hasn’t been publically announced.

Careerbuilder has been known to power jobs for many players and even earlier it had tied up with Sulekha.com for the same. It seems like planned strategy by careerbuilder to build traction in India.

What is NDTV’s Strategy?

NDTV had already burnt fingers with Yellojobs leaving themjobless so again a tie up indicates their lack of willingness to enter any of these businesses themselves. It seems they are content being a media platform and earning revenue by tying up other players who are in that space.
