<description>Mouthshut is trying to copy the likes of Vault and WetFeet. Mobile searches are the norm in Japan, unlike in India. Though average Mobile penetration per household in Indiahigher that the internet, not many users have browser enabled handsets, unlike the gizmo crazy Japs.

The next question is about the credibility of mouthshut itself. It censors or deletes genuine reviews from its site on orders of corporates it has tied up with, for money of course ! They spam in US and UK promising money in exchange for points earned on reviews. They never pay but if reviwer complains loud enough, they disable the reviewer's login id. Now the reviewer cannot erase his review and mouthshut gets to keep it for free. User profiles are disabled or deleted at the whim and fancy of the CEO and staff without prior notice or consent. Messages sent using their internal messaging system M2M is heavily censored.
