Love, Proposal, Break-up And Divorce 2.0
Email It!
Remember the crush notification feature on orkut and people trying out hacks to know if anyone has crush on them?
Well, as time changes, people find out new ways to express love and also add a pinch of Web 2.0 to the ritual of marriage proposal. Recently, a Googler, Michael Weiss-Malik, popped the question to his love, Leslie, on Google Maps. Now, she might be thinking of a geeky reply, huh!
Previously, we have been a witness of Twitter marriage proposal where Max Kiesler proposed to Emily Chang over Twitter
and she replied “yes” again via Twitter.
Now, coming to dumping and break-ups, it was pretty interesting when a video blogger Sandra Soroka who ditched her beau via a Facebook status update and posted the screen shot to Digg (social media optimization) which got 1600+ votes.
As a reply to this public humiliation someone took revenge in a very geeky way - hacking her Flickr account, deleting all pictures replacing them with “Sandra Kitteh” pic. That’s called Dump 2.0!
Now, moving to Divorce 2.0, Former playwright and actress Tricia Walsh-Smith made embarrassing claims about her husband, Philip Smith on an Youtube video as a reply when seeking a divorce he tried to boot her from the couple’s New York apartment.
In short, life is taking the shape of Life 2.0 and for those who believe in reincarnation, let’s see what web 3.0 brings to them!

I am sure you are aware of the Tag line of one of the ad’s which says, ‘its your life, make it large’. It seems that people are making their life really large…!!!
Somehow, even though it appeals to some people that their proposal is different and in front of the world… (SRK professed his love to Gauri on Billboards), the whole emotional thingy loses its charm…!!! Personally I would like my proposal to be f2f and personal…!!!
