Preshit - I enjoyed reading your post. Have you seen/heard about the teaser ad campaign that Idea has flooded Mumbai with? They're great - they play off the political incident of Raj Thackeray harassing so called 'non Mumbaikars' to leave the city because they don't belong. It features pictures of (angry looking) people with bold font proclaiming "(S)he's not from Mumbai. (S)he's from Calcutta/Delhi/Pune etc." and then the follow up "(S)he's got a Mumbai mobile number, so (s)he's from Mumbai" (Is far more impressive when you see it in person!)

To answer your question: Yes - with mobile portability I *would* switch operators.

The question is this: Would MVNOs that have tied up with the operator that has been granted the 3G license market 3G services?
