Orkut could have easily leverage this. Probably Orkut uses a very different technology stack than what Google Calendar does! Orkut might just be trying out the feature for now and making the feature open for all might make their servers shit! ATrue to Google's nature, they shall roll out features for all but only gradually! Whadda say?
