The mobile scene in India is hotting up. Hungama mobile is one big player and we have seen a lot of films using the service for mobile content. Similarly, Mauj  Telecom has been doing a lot, too recently. But the deals done by OnMobile is significant because it’s the biggest mobile content deal , outside of Bollywood. With this deal, OnMobile has become a content aggregator.

Mobile ringtones and ring-back tones now form a large chunk of revenues for films and for the mobile companies.  Infact  onmobile had recently launched ads on caller ringback tones inorder to monetize the same. This deal also places OnMobile in a preferabels position to strike similar deals in Bollywood, too.

Lets see how the battle shapes up in the coming months.
