RK Swamy BBDO, a 650-crore group having its own creative agency is planning to launch an HR portal for India, reports Business Standard. Rs. 3 crore will be invested in the portal that is planned to generate revenues of Rs. 10 crore by the first year.
Srinivasan K Swamy, chairman and managing director of R K Swamy BBDO, said,
”We already provide HR services but an online version will help us reach out to more clients and recipients.”
The portal, that will focus on IT, ITES and BPO sector will prepare and release the HR advertisement for the client companies.
Besides the external communication, which includes releasing advertisements publicly, the company will also offer internal communication, to any firm who wants to reach out to thousands of its employees, spread across different geographical locations.
RK Swamy holds 50.1% in RK Swamy BBDO while the rest by BBDO Asia.
Increasingly, companies are outsourcing their routine jobs to other companies. And these outsourcing companies have found a new revenue stream in online model. An online model is easy to setup, can be synchronized well and offers the ubiquitous nature to a service. Ease maintenance, of course adds to the growing list of advantages.

Well I hope this online model works for them. It’s an interesting concept and can turn out to be a fruitful product. However, again dependency on one provider an be a challenge.
