MIT’s Technology Review which organises the EMTech Conference in the US has tied up with CyberMedia and announced that they will be launching Indian editions of the EmTech Conference and the award-winning magazine Technology Review.

Speaking on the partnership the Editor of the Technology Review, Jason Pontin said “We met with several excellent potential partners and went through a rigorous selection process,” he added, “It was a difficult decision, but given CyberMedia’s decades of experience in technology publishing, they were the clear choice in the end. We look forward to a long and fruitful partnership.”
The launch of both the conference and the monthly magazine would be in early 2009. Pradeep Gupta, chairman of the CyberMedia Group said, “This will be the 16th media offering for us, expanding our existing presence in the technology sector. MIT’s Technology Review brings the best and latest developments on emerging technologies that have the power of transforming the Indian technology sector.”
This will be the first time an EmTech Conference will be held away from MIT and outside the United States. There have been many tech conferences in India the most upcoming one being Proto.in which showcases technology startups. The rate at which both the web and mobile technology space is booming in India I only expect these conferences to compound in number in the near future.
