Watch Free Movies on Hulu.com

Many people already recognize video-streaming services like Hulu.com (Hulu, in Mandarin, means holder of precious things) as a great destination for watching TV shows (it has every single episode of Arrested Development, people!) but did you know that it also offers movies? Over 100 of them, in fact, and some darn good titles too, including Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Sideways, Ice Age, Usual Suspects, etc. Viewers have criticized Hulu for censoring some content in the films. Hulu also offers trailers for new and upcoming movies.
You’ll have to sit through the occasional commercial –and stay tethered to your PC, of course — but that’s a small price to pay for watching free movies on demand. The only problem is that, for now, Hulu is a U.S. service only. However, their intention is to make Hulu’s growing content lineup available worldwide. This requires clearing the rights for each show or film in each specific geography, which will take time. Many content providers have already been working along these lines so that their programs can be available over the Internet to a much larger, global audience. The Hulu team is similarly committed to making great programming available across the globe.
Web based proxies have been around for a long time, but most don’t work with video and, even those that do, don’t provide decent enough bandwidth from which to view content from sites such as Hulu. One alternative service that has been in use for business for a long time now are Virtual Private Networks (VPNs). VPN’s offer a secure pipe from where you can access the web and, in turn, disguise the location of the user on the end connection.
