It was back in 2006 that Gadget Review had envisioned the advent of mobile projectors getting embedded in the mobile phones. The day finally comes closer to reality with CKing, a Chinese mobile company, unveiling a chunky candy-bar that has a pico-projector lens right at the top, capable of a projection of 640x480 resolution.

Now, this is not really very new because Texas had already showcased a cellphone projector back in 2007. However, it is the trend that should keep us all optimistic. Moreover, this is the first time a projector has been embedded on a commercial mobile phone. Here are a few snapshots of the mobile produced by CKing, courtesy Gizmodo.
