Thanks a ton for your feedback.Even I meant the same thing - about traffic now-a-days getting diverted to the regional portals although they were started quite some time ago.But while writing I had only India in my mind.Hence, maybe I overlooked this phenomenon in other parts of the globe. Do keep posting your feedbacks as they will help me to improve upon.

Hi Abhinandan,
This trend was predicted long back. Its just that it has started showing results more prominantly now. Localisation is what they call it. Microsoft Windows, Yahoo, Google all these were pioneers in this area.
