Ram Gopal Verma Ki Blog! – RGV takes a ‘Click’ out of Amitabh’s Blog!

Well in olden days it would have been taking a ‘leaf’ out of someone’s ‘book’ but I guess with times even phrases need to change ;)   So its also the time for Bollywood to be rechristened Bloggywood as the number of bollywood personalities taking to the blogosphere seem to be doubling by the day!

So taking a click out of Amitabh’s blog is Mr. Director Ram Gopal Verma himself. who has started A BLOG. As his new release ‘Sarkar raj’ nears launch it seems Mr.RGV has realised that he needs to do everything to make sure this one doesn’t bomb like his earlier film Ram Gopal Verma ki Aag did. So he has taken to blogging on MSN live spaces and followed the footsteps of Mr.Bachchan who had also started the blog on BigAdda with an image of Bhoothnath in the background.

 rgv blog

It seems like all of them Aamir, Salman, Amitabh and now RGV seem to have realised the power of blog marketing and seem to be using the same to promote their new films/tv shows and movies. But what they do need to realise is that unlike other mediums where on can ‘TALK AT’ their audience in this medium one needs to ‘TALK TO’ their audience.

Hence it will be delightful to see if any of them can harness the real power of blogs by ‘TALKING TO’ their audience!

    Hi Raghav,
Thanks for your feedback. Though Id like to say that small and useless to one might be big and valuable to someone else. Its relative. what we try and do and analyse and track trends and bollywood blogging is one such trend and thats why this post. Hope that makes sense!

It is good strategy for launching of blogs, it will help not only create awareness but also a very long term presence in to internet media. Let’s suppose if India touches 100 million internet lovers in next 5 years then blog would be a platform for celebrities to promote themselves and their activities in to the eyes of Indian viewers.

Ram Gopal Verma reached the end of creativity long back. He has reached his level of incompetence. It would be graceful if he would just melt away or disappear… but decency doesnt come to Ram Gopal naturally. He would need 10 flops in a row.. to understand that. He has made a movie Sarkar Raj which is doing well. It would have done well, anyways… cuz people come to watch stars like 70 year old Amitabh his 40 yr son and his 40 year old wife ! RGV or no RGV. People are coming to watch the Bachan family. Ram Gopal Verma shot into fame making CRUDE films. He is crude and vulgar, and that is fine – but he has outlived its utility. His type of movies are over now.
