Attention Bloggers/Website Owners: Can ‘WE’ End Poverty By 2015?
Email It!
End poverty by 2015 was the historic promise 189 world leaders made at the United Nations Millennium Summit in 2000 when they signed onto the Millennium Declaration and agreed to meet the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) of ending hunger, bringing gender equity, eradicating poverty, HIV and aids, reduce child mortality, reduce maternal deaths, environment sustainability and global partnership. The MDGs are an eight-point road map with measurable targets and clear deadlines for improving the lives of the world’s poorest people which can be found on http://www.endpoverty2015.org
UNMC’s endeavour is to raise awareness about this promise made by the 189 world leaders and create a movement among the masses that puts pressure on the respective governments to realise these Millenium Development Goals.
