Technology surely made the new generation kids smarter but in the end many of them end up doing some foolish act. Apparently a 17 years old, Alex Phillips from Wisconsin has posted nude pics of his underage (16 yrs old) ex-girlfriend on his myspace account.

Alex Phillips

He has been arrested and has been charged with distributing child pornography, defamation, and sexual exploitation of a child. He is facing up to 15 years in prison and if convicted he will be forced to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life. But what really amused me is:

Warned that he could face jail for publishing images of the minor, Phillips told an investigator, “F**k that, I am keeping them up,” according to a criminal complaint filed yesterday in Lacrosse County Circuit Court.

Hmm..I think that he was very much upset after the breakup and did this stupid act for revenge. The photos were taken with the unidentified girl’s cell phone and were given to Phillips while the two were still together. Phillips said that he had not intended to cause his ex any harm but admitted it he shouldn’t have done so.

Happy realization, if the intend was not to harm her then what is the other reason behind it?

Moving to another story which I feel is quite hilarious. A social networking site faceparty has deleted what it describes as “a huge number of accounts” from its social networking site in recent weeks. It lists ‘over 36 years old’ as one of its reasons for deletion.

FaceParty In case if you feel why 36 years old then this how faceparty team justifies its action. According to them people over the age of 36 pose a danger of sex offending. And it claims to be forced into the action by the Government, but the part of a law it cites is not yet in force.

Further they said “We understand that only a minority of older users are sex offenders, but you must understand that we cannot tell which of them might be. New government legislation means we need to check older users on the sex offenders list, according to its notice. This legislation is based upon checking email addresses against a government provided list. Faceparty has never insisted on validated email addresses and can therefore not participate in this new scheme.”

I really find this entire thing quite hilarious because this sounds stupid that if you are over the age of 36 you can not be the member of the site. Besides that this will result in fall of traffic too. Talking about the sex offenders people can always block such people and report the user’s comment as abuse. The maximum negative votes the user gets will lead to its account termination automatically.
