Flightsportal.com – Another Online Travel Portal

Another one bites the dust? – that’s the first question that came to my mind when I visited Flightsportal.com.

There is nothing to write home about with respect to this website. There is a real time search engine, which is a standard feature on most Travel Sites. The site claims that Booking of Hotels is another USP – honestly its not! Every travel site worth its salt is looking at revenues beyond flight tickets. They have a Travel News Desk, which could be handy, but again it’s not a hook. Also at this point of time the travel desk is an aggregator only – it’s not adding any value to the content.

 Found a few imperfections with respect to the advertising banners.

In my travel round up – I argued that most travel portals today were born keeping in mind the ‘holiday experience’ even though they started off with ticketing. Well – it doesn’t look like flightsportal is looking beyond airtickets – or atleast an average consumer wouldn’t look at it as a holiday planning destination (due to its name and subsequently its confused brand identity).

With other portals looking at offering Value Added Services such as Credit Cards, SIM cards etc. (more here) – I think Flightsportal has a long way to go before it really establishes itself as a strong player in the market.Â

Need a correction in your post - There ISN’T a real time search engine.
Isn’t it a clone of makemytrip? Try searching a same flight on both portals and compare results to see 100% match (including same page title, same buttons) except the portal name. Also check the code…(”MakeMyTrip”,”Travelpartnernetwork”)
I guess flightsportal is just a lead generation site for makemytrip to earn some affiliate fees.
i doubt it is a lead generation site - owned by 2 different companies.
Hello, everyone…. I have just booked one ticket… and called up the customer service, the experience was really great…. that i never expected from Makemytrip or Yatra, I think they are on the right track. Customer service was really very good i must say that they are the leaders of tomorrow and this is the real flightsportal… I will surely recommend them to my known and friends, overall a mind blowing experience.
What’s Wrong with the people… I don’t know Did Harshil Karia, the author of Whatablog did realy went throught Flightsportal or not… But all I found that every where is proved wrong in terms of the product as well the service even though the service provided by Flightsportal an upcoming brand is 10 times better than Other travel portals- I will suggest if people can compare and then descide.. what i found was that Flightsportal has a very good Offline module than online CCE are pure professional I my self is booking a ticket with them for Jo’berg and in touch with them for a long time and also with the other portal’s but it is Flightsportal executive who calls me up first with the appropriate informations and they cater what a customer desires and they are the real time professionals because they follow up on time with the regularity, While the exeprience with others was like you are calling them as they will do a favour on you by selling their ticket… I have yet not finalise the ticket but i am hundred percent sure that it’s gonna be FlightsPortal, I will book my ticket with and also the accomodation.

I stand by my word! 2 exactly similar IP’s from 2 different names- both with the same tone. And i stand by my word with respect to flightsportal as well. Unless you can prove me wrong.
