Buongiorno (Hong Kong) Limited, global leader in Digital Mobile Entertainment providing Mobile Value Added Services and Digital Marketing Services, is all set to introduce its latest mobile advertising solutions in India. Buongiorno Group, which owns 60% of the digital marketing business in a joint venture with Mitsui, the Japanese trading conglomerate, has indicated that it expects the Buongiorno Marketing Services division to grow globally by up to 30% in revenues for fiscal year 2008.
Buongiorno in India is now gearing up to offer a complete package of Mobile Advertising Solutions for the Indian market. Buongiorno will now enable brands to break through the clutter by providing full service, multi channel Ad Serving Platform, including business consultancy, advertising sales support, campaign management and media planning.
It’s interesting as to how they have taken the traditional advertising services and delivery to the mobile. They are basically following established procedures and have a media syndicate in place which is key for any such player. Currently Indian VAS players such as Mauj Telecom, On-Mobile, Mobile2win, Cellebrum, IndiaGames, IMIMobile and Roam-ware have not taken Mobile Advertising in a big way. Probably because ‘media syndicates’ is not their cup of tea but expect them to provide some stiff competition in the content creation market. Many of these companies are also on really good terms with the operators.
Another player offering advertising solutions for mobile (including app development, distribution, hosting, syndication etc) is Myzus. I may have missed out on some – feel free to add. More on Myzus’s strategy with P2P money transfer here (Myzus is also apparently letting vendors sell what seems to be an OpenID for prepaid recharge – buy a recharge and top up a phone from any operator. Is the Walled Garden of Operators Breaking?)
