Shyam telelink Gets CDMA Spectrum For Maharshtra and Kerela Circle.

According to this article in The Hindu Business Line Shyam Telelink has been allocated the spectrum to start CDMA service in Maharashtra. Shyam Telelink is partly owned by Russian conglomerate Sistema.

 

Shyam already has the spectrum for the following 12 circles : Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh (East) Uttar Pradesh (West), Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and Haryana, North-East, Assam and Jammu and Kashmir.

 

Apart from this, several telecom players have been allocated the GSM spectrum in Kerela, reports Business Standard. Among these are Venugopal Dhoot-promoted Datacom Solutions, BPL group company promoted Loop Telecom, Swan Telecom, Aska Projects, Tata Teleservices and one again, Shyam Telelink. All of them have received a spectrum of 4.4Mhz to start operations in Kerela.

 

Recently, Virgin Mobile had entered the Indian market with a bang. It’s Think Hatke campaign has been making the youngsters to sit up and take notice. The fact that the Indian telecom space is a hot one, cannot be reemphasized enough. With the possibilities of Reliance launching its GSM service soon and even DLF planning to enter the telecom domain, the mobile battlefield in India is ready for some red hot action in the near future. The consumer never had it that good.
