FXLabs Studios, one of the leading end-to-end game companies in India announced yesterday that the company has partnered with Indyarocks, to create what it claims to be India’s largest casual gaming community.
This partnership will create a gaming platform with more than 5,000 online casual games. The companies claim that the platform will also allow independent game developers to upload and get feedback from more than a million active gamers on Indyarocks. The only concern is – IndyaRocks has a million active users – im not really sure if all of them will play the casual games available. So the ‘largest casual gaming community’ tag is a little hard to digest. I also checked out some of the games uploaded by users – they seem to direct me to third sites (filled with ads). In many of the games, users are advertising (other gaming sites) before the game loads.
Nevertheless, I think many of the games on the portal are much better than some of the games on Zapak or other ‘naughty’ games on Games2Win (We interviewed Alok Kejriwal, CEO of Games2Win on WATShow recently).
Speaking on the partnership, Sashi Reddi, Founder and Chairman, FXLabs said:
” We are extremely pleased to partner with Indyarocks, which is India’s fastest growing social networking site. Over a million active users on Indyarocks can enjoy the best online games available anywhere in the world as well as Indian games based on Bollywood and cricket.”
Just one thing – I’m not sure if Indyarocks is India’s fastest growing community.
“Through this partnership, Indyarocks will provide an engaging and compelling gaming environment for the Indian game lovers. Going forward, we plan to introduce Multiplayer games and conduct online game tournaments”, says Kalyan Manyam, Co-Founder, Indyarocks.com.
Zapak has already done this.
The Fx Labs Casual Gaming now has a ‘meet people’ box which redirects users to Indyarocks. The Indyarocks portal now has a new ‘games’ page which is similar to the FxLabs page (in a different colour scheme).

Incidentally FXLabs has created the Dhoom 2 Game called ‘Dhoom 2.5’. They have also released what seems to be India’s answer to Lara Croft Tomb Raider (With Malaika Arora Khan in an action based avtar).

The company is also making a game revolving around the film Ghajini.
The casual gaming market is expected to double in size every year for the next few years. Worldwide, casual games are the fastest growing segment of the games industry.

incidentally i have done a compare on bigadda,minglebox,indyarocks.com,ibibo.com in alexa
looks like indyarocks has a very decent growth compared to any of them.
also orkut and facebook are pretty old when comapred to any of the India sites.so i have avoided them in comapring.
recently i read in alootechie that they have also partnered with myntra and i tested out their service.
i have tried 10 free photo prints.i have ordered them 3 days ago, waiting for the shipment.
looks like cricket is most popular game
it has 96886 plays and 576 comments in indyarocks
IT COULD BE BETTER IF IT HAD INDIAN CRICKET TEAM GAMES.
Would love to see it overtake facebook in India
