Hi Kapil,You know what you are asking me to do will actually work against agencyfaqs and for watblog.. Here’s why… People are very less likely to click a link at the end of the post once they are through with what they are reading.. What you are asking works well in the nespaper model not onlibe.. Infact by putting the link on a text/phase we are passing on both good Google juice (WATBlog has a Google PageRank 5) and better clickthroughs to agencyfaqs and I have internal stats that can prove this fact! People will click on a link within text to know more any day than a (source: link) kind of text!Infact contrary to our contemporaries ( and I wont name the blogs that explicitly link you at the bottom but do no good for your site) we used to link you right on top in the early days of WATBlog and following articles are examples of the same:http://www.watblog.com/2006/11/30/rajshri-com-appoints-limelight-networks-as-provide/http://www.watblog.com/2006/12/04/seventymm-advertises-through-youtube-video/We started linking to phrases as we felt it made reading a better and intriguing experience and also gave better traffic to those from whom we took quotes. But if you feel otherwise and want us to specifically link any quotes we take from agencyfaqs at the bottom. Ill be glad to do so. Coz it will only make sure no one clicks and goes to agencyfaqs from my site If thats your objective.

@ Kapil WATBlog has the best interest of its readers in its mind. Whatever we do, is with a view to add value to our readers. We have been working in the Internet industry for a while. Rajiv, me and Harshil know quite a few people in the Indian Internet industry. I personally have a few friends in this industry. And on the whole, we have received positive feedbacks for our work on WATBlog. If you go through the articles at WATBlog, you will find us ALWAYS linking back to the articles that we took the lead from. The same is true for the present article. We respect the hardwork put in by you. If not, we would not have given the link back to your article, in the first place. However, mentioning the name of the source is something that is not necessarily to be done. A link back to the original article is good enough. Mentioning the name of the source is not required. Even Mashable doesn't do that always. Don't believe me? Check out this link where they have quoted from Yahoo without explictly mentioning it. I don't see any reason why we have to do it. Regarding doing original stories, let me ask you to go through WATBlog once again. We regularly do special analytical articles (Microsoft-Yahoo-Google : Kuchh Kuchh Hota Hai, Live Mesh : Microsoft’s Biggest Bet Since Windows?, iPhone to be Launched in India This Year. To be Bundled with Vodafone), Harshil even did a couple of series on various aspects of WAT. And above all that, we are among the few in the Indian Internet industry to do a video show - WATShow, all of it - exclusive. I hope this helps. @Pooja Thanks a lot.

You can clearly gauge that your own readers are not satisfied with your approach of copying stories and then not mentioning the source explicitly.

Also many people in the Internet industry in India are not happy with the way you lift content from other blogs and site.

Its almost 6 hours and you have not even mentioned the source at the bottom of this story.

If you can not do original stories, atleast respect the hardwork of other people.

You should mention the source explicitly at the bottom of your story and giving a link to the original source of story is not sufficient.

And this is not the first time that WatBlog has lifted a story. Lifting stories and quotes and is now a regular affair with WatBlog.

Suggestion: Either do original stories or mention the source explicitly at the bottom of story.

Though the site does look pretty, i wonder what is the focus? i mean why would i ever want to go to a site, which offers nothing …if i want tips of being fresh there are gazillion lifestyle and fashions sites to visit. Maybe…just maybe interactive and cinthol guys should get together and try giving out something which is beyond just being “pretty”… and if its just about being a pretty site… there are enough of those from lux to ponds….YAWN!

You have copied Agencyfaqs.com story and pasted it on WatBlog without mentioning the source clearly.

Being an aggregating site or a blog does not mean that you start lifting complete paragraphs from the original story.
