Microsoft-Yahoo

Few days after the Microsoft deadline they decided to raise its bid to as much as $33 per Yahoo share (the original bid being $31). The new stated price by Microsoft is yet less than what Yahoo wants. There are reports that to avoid hostile takeover and defend it self Yahoo may join hands with Google Inc to carry search advertisements.

Yahoo-Google

The Wall Street Journal reported that: The two Internet companies are discussing a nonexclusive deal that they believe could pass antitrust scrutiny.

Although Yahoo and Google declined to comment, I personally feel that for now Yahoo has minimum options to defend itself. And this deal is one of them.

I wonder how Microsoft is going to react to this. Few other questions that arise in my mind are how long is this war going to continue? Is Yahoo going to be successful to carry on as an independent company or very soon it will be known as Micro-Hoo? For now all we can do is wait and watch.

  1. Why are most of the articles these days full of spaces, and huge images, and poorly formatted?

  2. Hi Vijay,
