Check out this video – its made by a group of 3 Austrian pseudo musicians (they call themselves iBand). It’s a song titled ‘Life is Greater than the Internet’. Personally I think the vocals are quite crappy but it’s quite exciting to see this innovation through which these guys have become mini pop cultural artefacts on YouTube (over 2 million views per video).

They are using the iAnoan iPhone application that transforms the device into a touchscreen piano. The PocketGuitar, is the other (different) iPhone app that turns the device into a touchscreen guitar. For this song they are also using the ‘Drummer’ Application – a drumkit for the iPhone.

I like their debut piece however (because it is devoid of vocals). They use a Nintendo DS for this number. The Drummer application hasn’t been used here. Check it out.

When Mitchell Baker said at the announcement of the launch of Mozilla Mobile that the mobile phone should be “pretty flexible”, I hardly imagined this!

Here is another video, a spoof on iBand. It’s quite quirky. YouTube surfing can be fun sometimes!
