Is Steve Ballmer Using A Mac?

While surfing through the Internet I came across this interesting rather shocking picture.

Steve Ballmer Presentation

In the picture Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft Corporation was giving a presentation on the projection screen through his laptop. But the laptop seems to belong to some other Steve – Steve Jobs from Apple. It seems that Steve (Ballmer) is very particular about his work and he doesn’t wish his laptop to hang in the middle of the presentation and therefore has more faith on Mac than Windows Vista.

After giving it a thought I seem to be pretty convinced by Steve using a Mac. Windows Vista proved to be one of the biggest flops. And Apple is selling more Macs than ever, I guess he made the right choice.

PS: Some time back we had interviewed Steve on our WATShow. Do catch him.

  1. I know I’m being picky here, but could you change the MAC in the post title to Mac ? Reading it as MAC is wrong and weird.

  2. Hey Preshit,

Thx for your feedback..it has been done.

  3. Cheers, thanks.

  4. He could have Vista on the Mac.
Remember that Macs can now run Windows too?

  5. @ Go-wind: What you say can be true. But to be honest it doesn’t make sense using a Mac to run Windows when he can directly use windows.

This is really old-school thinking. Ever since Apple moved to an Intel architecture, Macs have become computers on which you can install (almost) any OS you want…

And I don’t understand the concept of ‘directly running Windows’…Windows is a piece of software which requires hardware…

Microsoft just makes the Software, they don’t endorse or prefer a particular hardware maker…
Apple is another hardware maker on whose products you can install Windows…

  7. Lol..:) On second thoughts, we would love to use Mac on regular non-Apple PCs.

True, that’s what I think when I see their prices…but their hardware design is so much more superior…then again, so is their software design ;-) !
