Even the ipl teams have launched websites and blogs of their own. With so much of cricket happening how can online fantasy cricket game be far behind. So inorder to leverage the offline IPL a fantasy cricket game by the name of IFL i.e. IndianFantasyLeague has been launched.
The Indianfantasyleague has already found takers in sponsors like Airtel and Colorplus. Currently Indian Fantasy League offers free registration on their cricket game portal to users of all ages. The Indian Fantasy League will run concurrent to the Twenty20 matches being played in India from 18th April to 1st June. Indian Fantasy League offers attractive prizes such as cars, laptops, air-conditioners, cameras, etc.
Mr. Prashant Sethi, representative of Indian Fantasy League, on the announcement of sponsors, said, “Indian Fantasy League is a total cricket site for cricket lovers and enthusiasts. It gives people an opportunity select a team, manage it and build it to win. For ages, people of India have been following cricket religiously and have been advising, commenting and suggesting different things to improve the selection procedure, but to no result. Now there is a chance for everyone to create their teams and what is best is that they can win grand prizes! A user can create only one team under one email id. However, if you want to increase your chances of winning then you can get yourself registered with different ids and hence form multiple teams”.
Cricket fantasy games have been in vogue since the time of espn super selector and have been replicated in some form or the other over the web. With Indian winning the T20 worldcup and with the formation of the IPL cricket is at an all time high as far as engagement of the users with the game is concerned. The very fact that sponsors as big as airtel and colorplus are backing a online fantasy cricket game which currently solely surrounds the IPL.
