Google quietly launches mobile version of orkut

Long time back, I had blogged on my personal blog- how to access orkut on mobile phone. After months of waiting, finally Google folks have developed & launched (quietly, no announcement on official blog yet) an official mobile version of orkut i.e. http://m.orkut.com
     
After logging in, it displays your scrapbook, Birthday reminders & Updates from Friends in the order. On scrolling down, you can see links for Home, Scrapbook, My Profile & Friends. Though you can see your profile, it doesn’t allow to edit it.
     
     
When you reply to a scrap received, it takes you to his/her scrapbook where you can post scrap. Unlike the web version, it doesn’t allow you to post scrap on your own scrapbook. Also, the URLs in scraps are converted into plain texts.
The mobile version allows you to accept/deny a friendship request & you can browse through your friend list. Also there is Search Users button at the bottom, which you can use to search people, view profile, Add as Friend & report abuse.
Apart from testimonials, videos .etc. the most important feature missing in the mobile version is - access to communities. Even if you try to open a community by directly typing the URL, it throws the same “no donut for you” error message.
Though, the mobile version has many limitations (see orkut mobile help), it will be quite useful as it loads faster, saves bandwidth and is quite handy for both dial-up users and if your Internet traffic plan charges per byte transferred. Also, it may be used as an alternative to access orkut if restricted at your school, office or organization!

Good thing is that i can access this even from my regular office proxy, otherwise, everytime i have to use some other proxy to access orkut, and that also images.orkut.com.
Now i can access orkut without any worries that someone from infra team will catch me!

is there anyway to bounce back to older regular version of orkut,coz mobile version sucks…
