Funding Updates : mKhoj Gets 7.1 Million in Funding from Sherpalo and KPCB

Well they say its not too late to change a business strategy. Better change it than see your business die. This principle can be very well applied to mKhoj.com which initially started as a mobile search engine and was able to raise seed capital from the mumbai angels. But over time they realised that the real potential of mobiles was in mobile ads.

So about six months ago mKhoj relaunched as a mobile ad publishing network platform and voila they have recieved their A series funding from the likes of Sherpalo and KPCB (The same investors who have funded Naukri & Cleartrip). I guess this funding can be seen in the light of the recent interview that we carriedin which Nokia MD predicted some mobile numbers in which internet capable handsets were to reach 250 million by 2010.
