Komli has cracked the deal of its life as an ad network. Ebay India the ecommerce auctions giant has roped in komli to sell ad space on its site. In the US, eBay has a tie-up with Yahoo to sell text and graphical ad inventory on its US site, eBay.com. Currently Ebay’s Indian site also uses Google and other ad networks as well.

According to Akshay Garg, business head, Komli, “This is an exclusive arrangement for one year under which Komli will sell banner ad space on the eBay site. Ad space will be sold in two ways. Our team will represent eBay and approach advertisers directly for selling ads. Apart from this, Komli will also employ its ad network optimisation service called Pubmatic to serve ads on the eBay site.”
We had showcased komli’s CEO Amar Goel where he spoke about pubmatic the ad network optimization tool on WATShow earlier. There are other ad networks like Tyroo (partly owned by Yahoo) and the recent addition Adchakra of Percept which are also trying to build their network in India. Recently contentsutra reported that even Ibibo is looking to launch its own adnetwork by the name of Adwinks. With so many adnetworks coming into existence what remains to be seen is if they can offer any real differentiating value. In such a scenario a player like pubmatic which optimizes the performance across different ad networks could benefit immensely.

Yes u r rite Rajiv….Komli is really on a high these days….they have recently received $7 million of venture financing led by Nexus India Capital, along with co-investors Draper Fisher Jurvetson and Helion Ventures.
BEST OF LUCK TO KOMLI…….
This is once in life time deal for Komli to prove themselves that they are better then others.
All the best komli.
