Data Infosys Helps Indians Say No To Porn

We had blogged earlier about North India’s internet service provider Data Infosys Limited looking to wifi jaipur city, Now it seems its all set to play Net Nanny role for kids and protect the Indian culture and the innocence of the kids. A lot of households have still barred their kids from unmonitored access of internet because of the rampant access of porn on the world wide web. Such a scenario looks to be a story from the past as Data Infosys Limited is all set to launch India’s first porn-free broadband and internet services.

According to the spokespersons from the company, Data Infosys Limited plans to launch the effort on April 01, 2008 and shall be available to interested subscribers at no extra cost. The era has come for the home users too to start using the benefits of online monitoring tools that have become a norm in corporate houses where such tools are essential to save man-hours from getting wasted.

It’s not that such an idea is revolutionary since service providers like America Online have already been allowing their subscribers to block certain services that they wish to.

Such online filtering tools normally search for certain undesired keywords like porn, b**bs etc the moment a URL is typed at the address bar and once the content of the requested web site passes through the required search algorithm, it gets blocked by the service provider.

Although such a system is not absolutely fool-proof, it is definitely self-learning and much better than various other tools available at the market. However, no automated tool can beat the requirement of checking out your ward’s internet surfing habits once in a while!
