Publicis Launches Digitas in India!

Publicis which was earlier in the news as to looking at creating a foothold in the digital advertising space in India through acquisitions has finally done so but by launching digitas in India and also acquiring Solutions a digital marketing solutions company. So the entity in India will be created by merging digitas with solutions and the digital marketing company in India is going to be called Solution Digitas.

According to Alan Rutherford, chief executive officer, Digitas Global, “Solutions and Digitas will be merged into one entity, which will be branded Solutions Digitas. Srikant Sastri and Kanika Mathur, who are the founders of Solutions, will lead the Indian operations of Digitas.” He also adds that “Digitas will also launch its digital production company called Prodigious in India”.

With this the digital advertising space does hot up even more as the big boys of traditional advertising have dived into the digital space. So WPP acquired Quasar, Percept Launched Knorigin and now Publicis has launched solution digitas. We had even blogged about LBI earlier which a europe based digital solutions company setting up base in India.
