The Great Indian Developer Summit - Bangalore

 

India has a rich content pool of software programming talent. Events that showcase and celebrate young India’s software prowess work towards promoting awareness of our achievements. The Great Indian Developer Summit is one such event, to be held 19-24 May 2008 in Bangalore.

 

The summit features co-located conferences on Bleeding-edge .NET, Rich Web, and Daring Java. Organized by Saltmarch Media, the summit will have sessions and keynotes presented by eminent technology experts from across the world.

 

 

 

 

 

Speakers & Sessions

 

 

 

A total of 4o speakers are scheduled to deliver addresses in the Developer Summit including Jesse James Garrett (known as the Father of JAVA), Ed Musters (SharePoint Guru), Yakov Fain (Java Champion), Brian Sam-Bodden (Java and Ruby Geek), Greg Murray (JavaOne Rockstar) and Chad Boyd (SQL Server Expert).

Awards Jury & Advisory Board

 

 The summit is endorsed by the Government of Karnataka, IT Secretariat.In the Advisory Board are IT Secretary of Government of Karnataka, and IEEE, Oracle India Head, IISc, Microsoft India Lead, Google India Head R&D, Accenture India and many others whose areas of expertise include different areas of IT. Awards

 

 

 

The Awards will be one of the major events, recognizing the talent across the industry.The award will bring to the forefront product excellence, research and innovation, and corporate, community and individual achievements

 

The awards are held at two stages. In Stage 1, held from January 25-March 14, nominations were accepted to compete against the 15 open individual and product categories. Out of these 75 were short-listed. Now, from now on, till May 2, everyone is invited to cast a vote for one of the shortlisted participants. Once the voting closes on May 2, the votes will be counted and the top three nominations will be passed on to the jury who will make the final selection. Once the voting closes on May 2, the participant will be voted by the jury.

 

 

 

This year’s jury includes prominent personalities like the <IT Secretary to the Government of Karnataka (M N Vidyashankar), World-wide President of IEEE (Dr. Rangachar Kasturi), President of AdaptivePath & Father of Ajax (Jesse James Garrett), VP for Server Technologies at Oracle (Vijay Anand), Head for Google India R&D (PRasad Ram), General Manager for DPE at Microsoft India (Tarun Gulati), Head of Accenture Labs India (Lin Chase), VP & Head at SETLabs at Infosys Technologies (Subu Goparaju), Silverlight Geek at Microsoft (Jesse Liberty), Founder of Agile Developer Inc. (Dr. Venkat Subramaniam), and Associate Director of Indian Institute of Science (Prof. N. Balakrishnan), among others.

 

The event is organized at a gala scale, as can be perceived from the lineup of speakers and jury members.

  1. this conference is some kind of wast conference, last time i have attend this program, it’s totally worst :(
