Now HDFC Standard Life Launches Facebook App – Offers Trip To Paris As Bait!
I guess with the popularity of facebook soaring day by day it would get more and more difficult to track how many companies are launching facebook apps. But we at WATBlog try and bring you the best and sometimes take the worst and showcase them so that you can learn from their mistakes as well as give you enough reasons on why you should have a facebook app and also the fact that now we can develop them for you.
As far as the HDFC Standard Life application Ive come across is concerned it surely is an interesting one. The application seems to be asking people to check their responsibility quotient by answering a questionnaire.It also has a bait involved in the form of a free trip to paris for your parents incase you add the application and fare well on the responsibility quotient.
I tried the application and by the end of the 4 slide long questionnaire the application asks for your phone no and name what else did you expect from a financial company?? Its a lead generation application! Check the screenshot below.
Besides for the applications whats more interesting is the way it is being advertised on facebook through social ads. Check the ad below to understand what I mean better. Natasha Anand who is on my friends list on facebook was one of the people who added this HDFC facebook app. Look at how the ad uses her details i.e pic and name in the ad like the news feeds which are so popular on facebook. This what I call integrating peer behaviour to influence ads ROI. In short very smart marketing. Obviously my friend natasha was clueless her pic was being used she had just added the app to try it out. (when you add a facebook app it is allowed to use your information)
