WatchIndia.TV announced today that the upcoming tournament ‘Indian Cricket League (ICL) 20s Grand Championship’ will be available live and on demand on the WatchIndia.TV platform. The tournament will begin March 9th and run through April 7th with 34 matches including 8 teams in three locations.

WatchIndia in a short time has roped a lot of exclusive content for live and on demand screening. It is very evident that watchindia seems to be targetting the NRI audience with its content.

WatchIndia.TV offers Zee Sports on which the ICL matches will be aired as a standalone channel for 9.99$ per month. With the penetration of broadband increasing in India as well I wont be surprised if there is good demand for paid cricket video streaming from within Indian offices as well in 2-3 years time.

Cricket being a national craze will surely drive revenues for watchindia whether from NRI’s now and in the future from indian audiences as well.
