Dinesh Vazirani, Cofounder and Director of Saffronart, says,

“Contemporary Indian art is attracting increasing attention in the global art market. Some of the artists, whose works have been included in this auction, have been actively sought after at art exhibits and art fairs around the world. I’m sure this auction will fetch very good returns for the artists and the collectors.”

A good idea to reach out to the rest of the world. Indian art has been gaining grounds in the international circuit, of late. Last year saw artistes like Kishore Shinde, Yashwant Deshmukh and Pooja Iranna pricing their works for as high as Rs.1.75 million. With online auction, even more potential buyers, from all over the world have a chance to go through the works and bid for it.
