British Airways and Virgin Atlantic Airways have agreed to a $200 million settlement in a class-action lawsuit accusing them of price-fixing, according to a Burlingame law firm that was co-lead counsel in the case.

The airlines were accused of inflating fuel surcharges on U.S. and U.K. passengers of long-haul flights. The settlement could affect thousands of Bay Area travelers, attorney Joseph W. Cotchett said Tuesday.

Yes, it's true. It's high time India toop up WiMAX seriously. I still fail to understand why on earth should we still keep moving on with the wired connectivity? I agree, on a small scale the wired connections are much pocket friendly. But when you talk about ISPs, they can very well come up with wireless solutions. WHat more, desktop is hardly on anyone's buy-list these days. And even if someone buys a desktop, a wireless modem is hardly an extra cost. One anyways ends up paying a few bucks extra for the DSL modems.

What's more hopeful is the fact that even TATA Communications have started aggressively pitching for WiMAX in India. Hopefully it ain't gonna take long for me and you to be able to get connected wirelessly, any time and any where.
