FxLabs Partners With Sify & Zapak To Launch Agni - Malaika Arora Avatar Based PC Game
Though we dont cover PC Games on WATBlog but this particular news also involves two online players zapak and sify. So just got a press release in which FxLabs launched an avatar based pc game based on Malaika Arora and has tied up with Zapak as a “buzz marketing” partner (360 degree) for all its online marketing. The game will be available to users for sampling through a 60 min trial version which will be launched on Zapak.com soon. Also Zapak will be promoting the game offline through our Gameplex in 11 cities and host a tournament around it. As far as sify is concerned the game will be promoted through Sify online mall at sify.com, as well as through their GameDromes.
Agni is claimed to be the first home grown AAA level PC Game from India and FXLabs also disclosed that this game is being publised in russian and polish languages as well as there is interest from those countries. The gameplay is completely in hindi in this game as of now. While at the press conference FXLabs Founder Sashi reddi stated that they would be launching an Online MMORPG (Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) aroun bollywood and cricket by early next year.
Zapak CMO Arun Mehra said that zapak would be looking to promote this game to their hardcore gamers and he also said that their current gameplex numbers of 15 would be increased to 100 by this year end.
The question that came to my mind is why is zapak supporting this? Isnt it supposedly focussed on online gaming? Or is Zapak just a game marketing agency? Doesn’t matter which games they peddle? We had raised a similar point about the maxim tie up of zapak. I think its a strategy to make some money while still being associated with gaming after all each AGNI game is priced at Rs.549 and through online sales im sure zapak hopes to earn some money.
