Online transactions are all round the place. The number of the people using Internet is increasing. In India, the active internet users have increased from 21.1 million in 2006 to 32 million in 2007. The increase in the users has lead to various new things in the Internet world. Recently, SpiceJet tied up with BillDesk for secured online transactions. In similar news, Sugal & Damani group who has lottery business in India has launched PayWorld an electronic distributor for pre paid products.
On this Mr. Kamlesh Vijay, Group CEO, Sugal & Damani Group said, “The electronic distribution of different services are natural extension of our on line lottery business where technology and similar distribution methods have total synergy. The group experience in lottery distribution will be leveraged upon for success of this venture.“
The PayWorld is used for paying your bills online and recharging. The website is launched but still haven’t started functioning. PayWorld will cover all the major towns across all the major and mini metros. PayWorld uses CDMA, GPRS and VSAT platforms for its connectivity for reaching the local people it has tied up with regional telecom services such as Airtel, BSNL, Vodafone, Idea, Tata and Reliance. Further, it plans to step into the online ticket booking of railways, airplanes, and bus tickets.
I tried out the site but I could only view the home page and some descriptions within the tabs but couldn’t perform any transactions. So I have no idea how safe and efficient the transactions would be, lets try that out when the website starts performing transactions.
