Reality shows the current hot favorites on Indian television. Each of these shows has a voting system that enables the viewers to vote for their favorite contestants. JeetegaKaun.in was launched way back in September 2007.
This website lists all the popular live television shows. It enables the viewers to cast a mock vote for their favorite contestants on any show. The program might be on any of the popular Indian TV channels like MTV, Sony, 9X, Zee TV etc.
These are mock votes and hence are not counted in the original program’s voting system. The website also allows the user to join the forums or create a forum on the website. It also allows the user to take part in the state elections, Filmfare awards, beauty pageant and world’s best car of the year and so on.
The website is not so well organized and the UI needs a lot of modifications, although it functions well. The website helps the show producers and the contestant know the public opinion. This can be an important feedback for the channels and the show producers.
Although all these features are also available on the official site of the program, the only thing that differentiates jeetegakaun.in form other official websites is that it gives the user the multiple options for selecting a program and casting a vote for their favorite stars.
I just thought of trying the website. So I voted for Star TV’s reality show Star Voice of India Chhote Ustaad. When I tried voting for one of the contestants, it displayed all the mock votes that are being given till now for all the contestants just like the official website did and the familiarity of the voting system adds to the comfort level of the viewers.
